Soldiers Point Marina - Marina of the Year

The Australian Marine Industries Federation (AMIF) has awarded Soldiers Point Marina of Port Stephens NSW the prestigious title of Australian Marina of the Year for 2007 at the industry’s premier event, held as part of the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show on the Gold Coast. The other finalists were Meridien Marinas Abel Point (Queensland) and Sandringham Yacht (Victoria).The award, which is open to all marinas across Australia, bases its criteria on social, economic and environmental sustainability – taking into account marina design and presentation, scope of services and facilities, customer service, environmental programmes, involvement in the industry and contribution to the local economy and tourism.
